08 May 2008 Visitor attraction advertising sales agency agreement
Vision Media Group (International) plc (AIM:VMG), the outdoor media contractor, has appointed Match Day Media Limited ("Match Day Media") as the exclusive sales agency for the procurement of local advertising on the Group's network of TV screens at specific visitor attractions in the UK.
Following the signing of a new five year contract with Merlin Entertainments Group, the world's second largest visitor attraction operator, as announced on 1 April 2008, this agreement with Match Day Media relates to queue-line TV screens at Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, Madame Tussauds and Thorpe Park.
The agreement is based on a revenue share basis, with Match Day Media set performance driven sales targets and with a provision for additional bonus payments for exceeding these targets.
Mike Cottman, Executive Chairman of VMG, said: "Having already secured a highly desirable platform for advertisers through the Company's agreement with Merlin, this partnership with Match Day Media will provide a means of maximising the deal and generating further revenue for the Company. Match Day Media is well versed in generating interest from advertisers keen to capitalise on their own vicinity to the advertising medium. They are rooted in local communities throughout the UK because of their own core nationwide business and thoroughly understand the value of digital advertising.
"The revenue that this agreement will produce for us will supplement that which we expect to generate through the imminent appointment of a National Sales Contractor and possible season-long network sponsorship for our screens in these prominent UK visitor attractions."
